Panagia Island
DESCRIPTION
A protected home for sea birds by Natura 2000
With flora and fauna undisturbed by civilization, this island is home to dozens of kinds of sea birds. This is a protected area by Natura 2000, inaccessible all around except via one small inlet on the southwest side of the island. This is the best place for snorkeling and underwater exploration. We can visit this island instead of Salonikios as part of Plan A, when the sea is absolutely calm, for a 30-minute swim.
